"So, what does this make us now?"
Delilah blinked a bit at his question, she hadn't been expecting it. She began to frown, her trademark 'thinking' expression, but smiled sweetly instead as she felt him lightly kiss her cheek and her temple. She chuckled softly and gave a content sigh, tiliting her head to peck him gently on the lips before pulling back and smiling. "Well..." she started, she knew what she wanted, but she wasn't sure if she could take the consequences. The consequence, really. Meaning, of course, Ripley Todd. But then again, she'd given them her 'blessing', hadn't she? And it wasn't like Remus cheated on Rip with Dell, he'd honestly not liked her for more than a friend as far as she knew. Letting her blue eyes shift to rest on him, a soft, loving smile tugged at her lips and confirmed what she already knew in her heart.
"Honestly I don't really see a way we could stay 'just friends' after this, do you?" She regarded him seriously, her light blue eyes looking into his dark ones.

She didn't immediately respond, he had anticipated that. It was a little difficult to think sometimes, especially when somebody else was completely filling your head. She kissed him, well that could be a good sign, and then again it could have not been. She started to speak, and he even got a tad bit nervous at what she would say. They had all been pushed together by James, Sirius and even Ripely. He blinked, she had an excellent point.
"No. We've only been pushed together by half of our friends." He answered and noted. Maybe it wasn't just coincidence or some other sign.

"No. We've only been pushed together by half of our friends."
Delilah frowned a bit, but then let his words run through her mind a second time. "I mean, besides that.." she started. Suddenly she was afraid that maybe he felt obligated to her. After all, this was the second time they'd shared this experience, maybe he felt like he owed her something. But the look in his eyes when he'd kissed her... She sighed a bit and let her eyes drift closed, unable to look at him for the moment for fear of blubbering like an idiot. "I mean, we should only be together if we want to be."
She wanted him to want her, ebcause of her and not because of what happened. She knew in her heart that he did, but part of her was still afraid that it was out of pure obligation and not what she felt.

Maybe that wasn't the best thing to bring up, it just made it look like they were forced together instead of going on a whim of what they felt. You'd think they both felt something if they did this again while completely sober, Remus wasn't one to jump on some random girl just because they were attractive, that was Sirius' job. Besides he was unsure of when it came to his feelings, except for this time.
"That's true." He said, pausing for a second. "Well, do you?" It was his nervous, Remus-way of asking the question he probably should have asked a while ago.

"That's true. Well, do you?"
Delilah's eyes drifted open once again, a bit surprised, to look into his once again. A light blush dusted her cheeks and she looked away quickly, focusing instead on their linked hands. She knew what she wanted, more than anything, but she was still rather shy and somewhat afraid to admit it. She gave a small sigh, to gather her courage and nodded. "Yeah." she said softly, finally letting her eyes meet his once again, though the blush was still evident. A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Yeah, I do."
Suddenly, fear struck her and her eyes grew wide with fear. "Do you?" she asked softly, her heartbeat picking up a bit. If he said no, then, well... she'd have to go cry in a corner. And move back to the States. And change her name. Simple things, really.

She looked at him only for a second, probably comprehending the few words that left his mouth. Their hands were still entwined, as her small hand fit inside of his bigger one. Remus almost thought she was going to reject him, that would probably hurt the most and then he'd have to go and do something dumb and curse himself for being so vulnerable. But his heart lept, as she said 'yes' instead of that other dreadful answer.
"Of course I do." He said with a smile, kissing her again. Wonderful things do happen when you try to do your homework, where he somewhere remembered he had originally come here for.

"Of course I do."
Relief swept over Delilah and she smiled brightly, kissing him back lightly as he kissed her. She chuckled softly, resuming tracing her fingers across his back. Her heartbeat regluated to normal and she let out a content sigh, letting her eyes drift closed and a happy smile spread over her face. "So I guess it's official..." she murmured. "Your roundabout way of asking me out then, huh?" she chuckled lightly.
Suddenly her eyes flew open and she sat up rather uncerimoniously. "Oh Merlin, Remus, dinner!" she exclaimed, suddenly afraid that they'd missed it. The sun shining through the windows was low and deep, and Dell knew that if their friends missed them together at dinner they'd get suspicious.

There was this enlightened feeling in the air now, just like those days you can only dream of, with perfection everywhere. But this was real, at least he figured because he hardly ever dreamt and if he did it wasn't ever good. "Yea, guess so..." Well this was neat, and sort of a new thing. Remus and not single were hardly ever used in the same sentence, but he dealt well with committment, and it made him happy. At her question he just shrugged as his answer, a small grin still on his face.
Then she got up, and he wondered what happened. "What? Oh, yea." He'd completely forgotten, and now that he thought about it he was hungry. But though it would have been suspicious that he'd missed dinner, it wasn't uncommon, though with the circumstances of what had happened lately it probably would be.

"What? Oh, yea."
Delilah barely heard him as she dashed around trying to grab up her obviously discarded clothes. She'd managed to find her undergarments, shirt and sweatpants easily enough, but she couldn't for the life of her find her other sock. "Damn!" she swore, digging through her bag hopelessly. "I can't find my socks and Sirius is going to have that stupid look on his face that makes me want to punch it off of him, and James is going to be arrogant and Lily is going to smirk at me and Ripley-"
She stopped short and looked to Remus, her hair slightly mussed as she couldn't locate her scrunchie, either. "Oh, God, Ripley's like a dog." she moaned, sinking into the chairs they'd been sitting in before and burying her face in her hands. "Ripley's going to hate me!"

Remus stood up, in a haste, though not as fast as she had accomplished it. Remus found his pants, socks, shoes and all those but searched around for his shirt. As he checked under the table itself he found his belt, and farther away his shirt. Funny how things just end up scattered like that. "Have you thought of using magic?" He pointed out, slinging his tie around his neck to tie it. "Actually you have it easier, your table is only next to ours, you don't actually have to sit with them." Remus noted, finishing up his tie.
He walked over to where she had sat down, freaking out about Ripley again. "Don't worry about her, she's fine with it, remember? And if she isn't....well she'll get used to it." He said softly, crouching in front of her, waiting for her to calm down.

"Have you thought of using magic?"
Delilah found herself blushing a bit. That had totally skipped her mind. And she was a Ravenclaw, no less! "Right..." she murmured, grabbing her wand out of her bag. "Accio socks." Instantly, they zoomed towards her from under the table and she caught them with ease and a sheepish smile.
"Actually you have it easier, your table is only next to ours, you don't actually have to sit with them."
Delilah gave him a somewhat sympathetic smile. That was true, she would be mortified if she couldn't at least turn away from them. At least she now had that advantage.
"Don't worry about her, she's fine with it, remember? And if she isn't....well she'll get used to it."
Delilah sighed slightly and gave a small smile, reaching down to put her hands on his shoulders. "I suppose you're right..." she murmured, her smile growing a bit bigger. "As always." Standing up and holding her hands out for him to join her, her smile brigthened fully. "So, are you going to tell the guys then?" she said with a light laugh.

Remus smirked a little, she probably hadn't thought of it just because she was rushing on getting to dinner, if they hadn't missed it. Turns out those missing socks were under the table somewhere, how they ended up there he didn't know. Now he had to go put on a show and pretend that he didn't feel good for once, and say he was doing homework and felt estatic that he'd finished his essay, as if that would go over well.
"If they don't figure it out first. I'll probably tell them after dinner though." He said, not wanting to have that conversation in front of Ripley or anybody he didn't feel like telling. His hands were in hers as he stood up fully as well.

"If they don't figure it out first. I'll probably tell them after dinner though."
Delilah gave him a trademark bright smile and stood up on her tiptoes to kiss him, gently, pulling back a bit, she chuckled, releasing his hands so she could wrap her arms around his neck. "Gloat to those pranksters all you want, you deserve it." she said with a light smirk, before releasing him and grabbing her bag, slinging it over her shoulder. She eyed the book that she'd gotten a few hours back from Sprout, and couldn't help but chuckle at how she didn't even get to page three before... well...
Blushing lightly at her own inward bluntness, Delilah made to head out of the library. Just as she was holding her hand out to Remus, Madame Pince stepped out from behind one of the shelves and Dell blanched. "Miss Simon, Mister Lupin, what exactly are you two doing?"[/i] Ignoring Delilah's face, which had turned a deep shade of crimson, Pince raised an eyebrow. "And why is your shirt on backwards, Miss Simon?"[/i]

Remus smiled back as she kissed him, this had to be one of the very much better days of his life. It was as if it couldn't be true, he hoped it wasn't a dream or something, though if it was at least he could have a plan. "I know I do." He said, sure they wouldn't be jealous, maybe Sirius, but just enough to make them wish they had what Remus and Dell had.
Remus was about to say something as he was behind her and they began to exit. Then the all familiar figure of Madame Pince, the librarian stepped out. Remus' cheeks had a natural and light shade of pink, and he couldn't bring himself to answer, and his eyes look down to where her shirt logo covered her back, instead of front. "Nobody said you couldn't wear your shirt backwards in the Library." Remus replied, surely she knew that somebody like him knew the rules like the back of his hand almost. Just a kind of comment you would say after hanging with James and Sirius too long.

"Nobody said you couldn't wear your shirt backwards in the Library."
Delilah couldn't believe that she was semi- in trouble. On her own, she kept to herself and was only awarded points and praised for her excellent behavior and good performances in class. But it seemed that whenever she was around the Marauders, or any of her other friends, for that matter, trouble seemed to follow them closer than a Seeker followed the Snitch. Dell found herself enjoying the risk a bit more each time, and that's what worried some of her other studious friends. Passing a quick glance to Remus, she turned back to the librarian and nodded. "Erm.... yeah!" she added, her blush fading a bit, but still slightly remaining. Madame Pince was still frowning. "If I find out you two were doing something inappropirate in MY library.... I'lll.... I'll..."[/i]
"Finish your sentence?" Delilah supplied, then blushed brightly once again at her own boldness. Since when did she say such things? Thinking quickly, she smiled brightly and reached behind her for Remus's hand, intent on speaking and dashing out as quickly as possible. "Don't worry, ma'am." she said with the most innocent smile she could muster. "You won't find out." Turning to Remus, she cleared her throat a bit. "We'd better go or we'll miss dinner."[/font]
