"And I'm always right aren't I?" Sirius's reply was in the form of a question rather than a statement. Occasioanlly he got caught but that was only because he was ratted out and than there was the rare occasion where a teacher actually happened to find him and the said victim when they were going at it. The only thing that happened when a fight was concerned was the removal of house points and perhaps just a few monthes of detention. It wasn't anything that Sirius couldn't handle, as long as they weren't given on the days that the full moon happened to be occuring - so that he could be there to help Remus - than things were fine where he was concerned. A little detention never bothered him, even if it came in such a long period that he probably wouldn't have much free time. There was always the opportunity of skipping class that usually presented itself in such situations which was always a big help too. "Don't worry I'll leave your name out of it, I'll just tell him that I know about his woman-abusing ways." This was the catch to the whole thing, the sure way that Sirius knew that Delilah wouldn't be blamed for his own foolish actions - even if they seemed just to Sirius.
Wincing a little as she flicked his nose, Sirius thought of all the things that he could do to make sure that Delilah's ex kept his mouth shut and his hands to himself. He shrugged off her protests, "I won't kill him, I'll just make sure that he won't ever be the same again." Sirius promised her with a smirk, he already was beginning to plan things out in his mind now. There was a sure way to get out of the whole situation unscathed and unblamed for any of it. "I'll confound him before he can escape, a confused victim is always a guilty one." Sirius replied, it had been his master plan from the beginning, if Michael didn't know what was going on than Sirius could pin the whole thing on him. "I'll just tell him to 'fess up because we all know that he started the fight over the last roll of bread in the basket." He was pulling her leg now, but he was definitely serious about the 'confounding' part. "I definitely had my hand on it first, thus it was his fault because he slapped it away." Sirius added, there was a glint again in his grey eyes.
Sirius would obviously not be detered from finding a good reason to go after the guy that had put a hand on Delilah. He was sought on doing this and anything that she said didn't seem to sway his opinion at all. "My parents?" Sirius shook his head, they wouldn't give a crap, they probably would just take it as his way of trying to prove himself to them or against them depending on what line of blood Michael was from. "Is Michael a pureblood?" Sirius asked suddenly, his expression had calmed a little bit and he seemed to be talking seriously again. "Because if he is than they'll give me hell for it, but if he isn't than I'm protecting the family name and the bloodline so they'll be on my side. Either way they can burn in hell for all I care." Sirius added, his tone was a strong decided one that contained a sea of bitterness for the subject of his parents. He was a blood traitor, and in a family of purebloods that was almost as bad as being a pedofile, a rapist, or even a murder. He was in the process of being disowned by his parents and sooner or later they would finally see no reason not to disown him and probably go through with it.

"And I'm always right aren't I?"
Delilah let out a light laugh that might've been genuinely amused, then again, maybe not. Sirius did have a certain smoothness about him and charm that pretty much guaranteed he's be able to weasel his way out of just about anything. Sometimes, he even managed to fool a teacher or two. Dell had no idea how he did it, but she found it funny and interesting to watch. "Of course you are." she said, rolling her eyes a bit, a light grin planted on her lips.
"Don't worry I'll leave your name out of it, I'll just tell him that I know about his woman-abusing ways."
Delilah chortled slightly and pulled up her legs to fold beneath her on the bench. "Oh, and here I thought you were going to don a cape and a feathered hat, grab the sword of Godric Gryffindor, and run into the Great Hall after Micheal declaring loudly your revenge on behalf of the fair maiden Delilah Simon." She laughed at this, entertaining silly images of Sirius doing what she'd just suggested in her head. On certain days, and maybe even with James's enthusiasm, she wouldn't put it past him. Maybe James as well.
"I won't kill him, I'll just make sure that he won't ever be the same again. I'll confound him before he can escape, a confused victim is always a guilty one. I'll just tell him to 'fess up because we all know that he started the fight over the last roll of bread in the basket. I definitely had my hand on it first, thus it was his fault because he slapped it away."
Passing him an amused look, Delilah shook her head a bit at his antics. "Maybe something more believable." she suggested, part of her berating herself inwardly for egging him on. Still, she knew he was going to do something anyway, and it would be a lot more fool-proof if she helped him work out the kinks. "Like... say he stole your broom. And I'll go plant it under his bed or something." A sudden, slightly michevious smile appeare don her face and her blue eyes twinkled up at him in the starlight. "Or, if you don't care to part with your beloved 'arrogance stick' I'm sure James would... or we could nick it." she mused with a light chuckle.
"My parents? Is Michael a pureblood? Because if he is than they'll give me hell for it, but if he isn't than I'm protecting the family name and the bloodline so they'll be on my side. Either way they can burn in hell for all I care."
Delilah frowned a bit, racking her always-buzzing-with-ideas-brain. "I'm pretty sure he's a half-blood." she said after a moment, affirming this information in her mind. "But definitely not completely pure, that's for certain." She would add that no one that horrible would be pureblood... if it were true. In fact, it was pretty much the opposite. Sirius was an exception. Had he been a normal, noble Black, he wouldn't even be speaking to her, let alone dear friends with a muggle-born such as her. Giving a small sigh, she looked to him once again, seriousness floating in her bright blue eyes. She rested her hand on his shoulder, all joking nature gone. "Are you sure about this?" she questioned softly.

Sirius caught Delilah rolling her eyes and would've tried to hold to the fact that he hadn't been caught in some instances but decided that the attempt would've been in vain, because what they were plotting was not 'some instances' it was one large very big public instance. He didn't see anything wrong with getting caught, of course he could deny that Delilah had ever been involved in the whole in the first place, not that many people would outwardly believe him but he could attest to it with a very fragilely placed smooth set of words to get it all going. Or perhaps he could just relate the story to McGonagall and claim that it was all his idea from the get-go and that Delilah hadn't been involved, if he threw in the part about Michael beating Delilah to a bloody pulp than maybe the Head of Gryffindor would see to it that the victim was also punished. Oh what Sirius wouldn't give to get that prat alone in detention when Flich's back was turned.
Sirius's grey eyes grew a little bit more cheerful as he grinned widely at Delilah's response to his plan, "Well that was option B, but than I decided that option A was a bit less flashier, but in my opinion option B has real potential." Sirius replied. "Than of course there's option C, but it is a bit extreme even in my opinion. Besides it might be too bloody, I wouldn't want to upset anyone's stomach." There was a smirk now recovering on Sirius's features which had once been neutral.
"More believable!" There was a theatrical pout on Sirius's face now as if she had deeply offended his acting skills, but than there was also a grin struggling to get through too so it was hard to tell which was which. "Alright than I like option C better, I just jump the sucker in the hallway one day when he has his back turned. Cursing him into oblivion would also be a lovely option, but I'm afarid it doesn't hurt as much as actually getting socked in the face." Shrugging off the options for a second, Sirius seemed to be considering physical violence more than just using his wand to fight with. He wanted something equal to the pain that he had caused Delilah and using a wand wouldn't be a clear alternative to that, he needed to use his fists. In a moment Sirius was suddenly dragged from his train of thought when Delilah suggested that they plant his broomstick under Michael's bed. "That's a grand idea in one sense, that is if we nik James's broom for the plan rather than mine!" Sirius proclaimed a grin now dancing through his grey eyes. It was commonly known that him and James Potter prided themselves on their Quidditch skills and even more the brooms that they had come to own. There had been much blood loss and strain for Sirius to obtain his own broom because his parents had no intentions of supporting the 'rival' Quidditch team especially since they were opposing Slytherin every so often. Regulus was handed his broomstick right off the top, but Sirius had gone through a sight to many arguements with his parents to get the money - which he eventually ended up earning on his own through 'donations' and odd jobs. The whole situation had reminded him just how much a prick his father could be when it came to giving him anything, let alone breathing the same air as they all did.
"He's tainted than, might as well be a muggle-born or rather 'mudblood' in my parent's eyes." It was perhaps the first time that Sirius had ever spoken that word, but when he did he gave a humorous twist to it, speaking in a high voice almost through his nose - clearly he was imitating his father. With his pureblood traitor status he was nearly equivalent to that of a muggle-born where his parents were concerned and if not than he was worse because he had seen all the great riches and royalty that awaited him on the other side as his parents used to try to tell him when he was younger. But Sirius had decided to pave his own path that had nothing to do with the family name or the people that urged him to do otherwise.
"Perfectly certain." Sirius replied with a grin, his grey eyes lit up at the question as if he had been waiting for her to ask him.

"Well that was option B, but than I decided that option A was a bit less flashier, but in my opinion option B has real potential. Than of course there's option C, but it is a bit extreme even in my opinion. Besides it might be too bloody, I wouldn't want to upset anyone's stomach."
Raising one eyebrow, Delilah gave him her infamous 'That obviously breaks the rules' look, but it was canceled out by the smile that had found its way onto her face. "Maybe we could get you a noble steed." she suggested with a glint passing through her bright blue eyes. "I'm sure Hagrid's got something that at least resembles a horse. Though you might trample him before you get a word in." her grin widened slightly and she chuckled. Sirius Black all dressed up on a horse wasn't as far-fetched as some would think. If he did, he might do it not only for her revenge, but so the ladies would swoon as well. Delilah inwardly snorted. Shallow tramps.
"More believable! Alright than I like option C better, I just jump the sucker in the hallway one day when he has his back turned. Cursing him into oblivion would also be a lovely option, but I'm afraid it doesn't hurt as much as actually getting socked in the face. That's a grand idea in one sense, that is if we nik James's broom for the plan rather than mine!"
"As is should be." Dell said seriously, though a small smile was still planted on her lips. "I'll distract James, tell him that Lily is down in the Great Hall asking for him." she laughed. "He'll be out of the Gryffindor Common Room so fast you couldn't beat him there if you Apparated." True there was a bit of an exaggeration there, but James' fondness for Lily knew hardly any bounds. It worried her sometimes, but mostly it just made her smile. It was cute, really.
"He's tainted than, might as well be a muggle-born or rather 'mudblood' in my parent's eyes."
Delilah frowned deeply and averted her eyes, feeling the familiar rush of hatred at that stupid word. She knew that the last thing Sirius would do, besides betray his friends or hit a girl, was call anyone, especially her, a Mudblood. Still, the word made her blood boil. How many times had stupid arrogant pure-blood Slytherins called her that? She ignored it the best she could, but it stung. "I hate that stupid word." she groused, glaring at her snubbed cigarette a few feet away. Dell herself was a Muggle-born, and honestly even if she wasn't she knew she wouldn't be prejudiced against them. She was glad Sirius felt the same.
"Perfectly certain."
Delilah smiled at him, removing her hand and nodding once. "That's what I was afraid of." she joked lightly, but honestly hadn't doubted him for a second. She knew she could count on him, even if others found the idea of trusting Sirius Black to be rather stupid. Now there was another thing that needed addressing, something she really needed his advice on. Trying to look as casual and indifferent as possible, Dell shrugged nonchalantly and looked up at him. "So... Remus... he, uhm..." so far she was sucking at it. In all honesty, she knew she had feelings for him, but... she didn't want him to feel obligated to her after what had happened between them.
[Cause this is before they got together. ^^ ]
